Well, today was free admission day to the de Young museum which I decided to take advantage of. As well as to get used to using the bus system here.
I decided to take the 44 bus to get to the museum - but it turns out I should have probably just looked at a map. The de Young is not too far from me. In fact, I think I rode the bus for about 5-8 blocks max. Ooops.
The first thing I saw was that the Dale Chihuly exhibit is coming to the de Young on the 14th!
I had been so sad that I had missed it in Pittsburgh at the Phipps Conservatory, but turns out that it is following me to San Francisco! Now, admittedly, it won't be as good as being seen in the Conservatory amongst all the flowers and plants, but still!
The de Young is a cool museum. It had some great stuff in it. There was one thing I absolutely loved, because when I saw it, it reminded me of Patagonia and it turns out, that was the inspiration for it.
Check out the actual glaciers:
I went up the tower also, which is supposed to have gorgeous 360 degree views but as you can tell from picture, it was pretty much obscured today due to fog.
All in all, a fun day!

The Patagonia-inspired thing was very cool. I think you should have taken a self-portrait shot of yourself with that view of the city. :)
