Finding the perfect lock. Third time's the charm?

Argh. Who thought it would be that hard to find a lock that works on a Penske truck?

We went and picked up a lock at Lowe's to use to lock up our Penske truck. Now, maybe I shouldn't have bought it without seeing the actual truck, but really, I didn't think it would be that hard! And, we asked the customer service there for advice and they indicated that any would work. So, we picked up a secure lock, one of those that leaves little of the lock available to be potentially cut (Lock #1), and off we were on our merry way.

Well, fast forward 72 hours later as my family and I are all exhausted from loading the truck all day, wanting to just lock the darn truck up and get to our hotel to crawl into bed. Lock. Doesn't Fit. Agh! Lowe's wasn't open at this time, so off I went to the 24 hour CVS to get a plain old Master lock to use temporarily (Lock #2).

Again, fast forward less than 8 hours later. I go back to Lowe's return Lock #1 and pick up Lock #3, which has more width to the lock, and back we were to finishing up the loading of the Penske truck. (Oops, only 18 hours off schedule. By now, we were supposed to be in Nashville!) Anyhoo, time comes to break in that shiny new lock #3 and... No fit! AGGHHH!
