Penske - moves never go smoothly, do they?

So... Graduation day was exciting in the morning and then exciting for a very different reason in the afternoon. My family and I went to go pick up the Penske truck that had reserved over 3 months ago. I was very puzzled when the very nice lady working there didn't know anything about my move. She was puzzled - no reservation under my name. I was puzzled - I knew I had a reservation. I immediately went to check my email with my sister's Treo to get my confirmation and in the meantime, she started to call Penske via their 1-800 number. I found the confirmation number and as she started to navigate the Penske automated menu, I realized the problem.

2009. The #$%# that had put in my reservation had put in May 19, 2009, NOT 2008. Seriously? I told him I was moving this year. Why would I put in a reservation for 1.25 years ahead??? Argh!

But not to worry, the very very nice lady at the Penn Ave Penske told me she had a truck she could give me and more, she even got on the phone with corporate and fought for a discount for me because of their mistake! Now THAT is customer service. So, crisis averted.

Now for the real problem, ahem - issue - packing and moving my apt! (I've lived in Pittsburgh for 9 years. Eek!)

It's a Nokia! Not a Treo! (yes, yes I know. But there is a huge difference! Just ask anyone in my group!)
